Governor Parnell Honors Fallen JBER Soldier
June 12, 2012, Juneau, Alaska – Governor Sean Parnell offered his condolences to the family and friends of a JBER soldier who was killed in combat on Saturday. Private First Class Nathan T. Davis, 20, of Yucaipa, California, died of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle in Khowst Province, Afghanistan.
“Private Davis was a brave American who served his country with honor and pride,” Governor Parnell said. “Sandy and I will keep his family, comrades, and those serving in harm’s way in our thoughts and prayers.”
Private First Class Davis was assigned to C Company, 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.
